Greed Still Life

Medium: Charcoal Date: Fall 2004 About: For this particular assignment we were instructed to choose one of the seven deadly sins and create a composition that showed it. I chose greed. Inside the box are things that people need to survive, food, water, clothing, & shelter. Outside the box are things that people take for granted and desire. The world is full of greedy people who would sooner purchase something they don't really need than help others who don't have the things they need to survive, thus they commit the sin of avarice.
